On February 26, 2008 Ordinance 2008-3 was adopted by the City Council and approved by the Mayor on February 28, 2008 and went into effect on March 18, 2008.

The ordinance authorizes the non-criminal disposition of any and all city ordinances. Penalties of $100 for the first violation, $200 for the second violation, and $300 for each subsequent violation, pursuant with M.G.L.A. c. 40, § 21D.
