The City of Fall River administers, through Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company, two group life insurance policies available to employees at hire:
The Basic Life insurance plan is a $5,000.00 death benefit with a double indemnity paid to the member’s beneficiary. The cost of basic life insurance is shared between the employee/retiree and the employer.
Additionally, an employee may opt to enroll in Voluntary Life insurance which is fully funded by the employee. Employees can opt for an insurance amount of up to five times their annual salary.
