Grant Writer

What We Do

The City Grant Writer identifies funding opportunities and prepares and submits grant applications for local government and units of local government.

The Grant Writer’s pre-award duties include: identifying potential funding sources and disseminating information, attending bidders’ conferences and workshops, meeting with staff to determine funding needs, collaborating with staff regarding grant requirements and preparation, and preparing and submitting required application materials.

The Grant Writer’s post-award responsibilities include: facilitating contract execution, attending grantee workshops, assisting with implementation and administration of grants and grant reporting, conducting site visits, and coordinating materials and events related to grant awards.
