Water for training purposes is supplied to the complex by two hydrants and portable reservoirs are available for on-site drafting evolutions.
A multi-story training tower with burn rooms on different levels provides the environment for live burn evolutions. The tower is also used for ladder, search and rescue, and fire attack evolutions. High angle rescue operations are also practiced at this facility.
There is a confined space simulation building on-site used by Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) and Technical Rescue teams to maintain their skills.
Recruit training is also conducted at this complex. Surrounding fire departments including Somerset, Fairhaven, Taunton and Acushnet have sent their recruits to be trained at the Fall River facility.
The Training Division strives to maintain high standards of training and instruction in order to keep the Fall River community and its firefighters as safe as possible.
