The City of Fall River tree department is a subdivision of the cemetery department, both falling under the overall lager Department of Community Maintenance. The body governing both, cemeteries as well as trees, and is under the per view of the Park Board of Commissioners. The tree department works diligently to ensure that city trees are maintained and inspected for any hazards. A city tree are those trees that are planted only within the city’s property layout. The department also works to trim back those trees that may grow oversized, as well as removing trees and limbs that have decayed and posed an imminent danger to the public. 2012-10 tree ordinance
