Fall River residents are welcome to address the members of the City Council at each meeting of the Committee

on Finance prior to the beginning of the meeting or after all other items have been disposed of, prior to each regular Council meeting.

To ensure all interested are given an opportunity to address the Council, these guidelines are followed:

  • Only residents of the city may address the Council.
  • There is a three minute time limit for each resident.
  • Subjects to be addressed must be matters concerning City Government.
  • Residents present at the meeting must sign name, address and subject matter with the City Clerk at any given time until the Committee on Finance adjourns.
  • Residents with disabilities who are unable to attend a meeting can forward their comments via email or regular mail and their communication be read during citizen input time, as if present at the meeting.

The President of the City Council may waive the rules to allow non-city residents to address the Council.
