The Purchasing Division ensures that taxpayer dollars are being spent in the most efficient and cost effective manner. To achieve this, the Purchasing Division solicits by telephone, fax or e-mail sealed written quotes and sealed written bids and proposals. Sealed written quotes are opened at 10:30 a.m. and sealed bids and proposals are opened at 11:00 a.m. in the Purchasing office.
It is the responsibility of the Purchasing Department to purchase:
- Materials, equipment, and supplies for all city departments.
- School lunches to custodial supplies.
- Co-sponsor an annual auction for out-dated equipment for any city department.
Outside the door of the Purchasing office is a list of supplies and services that are currently out for bid. For more information on how to submit a bid or proposal, please call or see a division employee.
