Fall River takes great pride in its cultural and ethnic diversity and its long history of immigration by people from various parts of the world to our city. Recognizing that our city's development has been strengthened and enriched by our immigrant heritage, Mayor Robert Correia believes that it is important to provide the community with this vital resource.
The Mayor's Immigration & Naturalization Assistance Office assists constituents with the completion and filing of forms with the United States Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and can also provide services in Portuguese and Spanish. Through the Mayor's Immigration Assistance Office, constituents can receive assistance and information regarding pending immigration cases and have any immigration related question answered.
Legal Permanent Residents can receive assistance with issues regarding their Alien Card, such as renewing or replacing a lost, stolen, or expired card and also with applying for United States Citizenship. Anyone interested in becoming a naturalized citizen can receive study materials in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Our office can also assist with the translation of documents such as birth, marriage, divorce, and death certificates.
