Welcome to the Fall River Board of Elections
The Fall River Board of Elections is responsible for the scheduling and implementation of timetables mandated by state law to carry out city, county, state and federal elections. In doing so, the Board is dedicated to providing the citizens of Fall River with the utmost quality of service and making easy the process of exercising your right to VOTE.
In order to provide this level of service the Fall River Board of Elections schedules additiona hours for voter registration and related activities throughout the year. The Board maintains overall responsibility for setting up voting precincts for elections and recruiting, training, assigning and supervising workers on election days.
The Board prepares election ballots and compiles election results. The Board is responsible for all absentee ballot procedures and supervises all recount operations.
The Fall River Board of Elections also conducts the city census and maintains current voter registration lists. It issues voter registration certificates as well as certifying residency forms for state colleges and veterans bonus applications. The Board also maintains records of residents for the jury commission. The Board of Elections responds to inquiries of the public and other governmental agencies regarding population statistics, voting procedures, voting districts and names of elected officials.
Regular office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On voting days, polls and the Elections office are open from: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
